Real estate agent using Virtual Tours success stories

Real estate agent using Virtual Tours success stories

See how your fellow real estate agent Peter Browning uses Virtual Tours in Sales.

Peter Browning, LJ Hooker Brunswick Heads is an absolute pioneer that has been using them since 2018… Long before any pandemic… Was it worth the effort? See for yourself.

I’m Tom from Virtual Tours Creator with Peter Browning from LJ Hooker, Brunswick Heads.

Peter: Yep!

Tom: One of the absolute first champions that took virtual tours on board in 2018 when nobody even heard about a Global Pandemic, wasn’t it?

Peter: That’s exactly right, Tom. We jumped on it purely because we could see the benefits and the features that were gonna come out of it. We didn’t realize at the time what an advantage it was gonna be to have the 360 virtual tours. It was more of an extra string in our bow, so to speak, for us at the time. But then the pandemic came, Tom, and yeah, we haven’t looked back since. It’s been great.

Tom: Yeah. So let’s talk about before the pandemic. You know, now it’s really obvious for everyone, but I just wanted to brag about how awesome the virtual tours were before COVID kicked in, and Peter is using virtual tours for salesmen mainly. He doesn’t only cover Brunswick Heads but also Ocean Shores…

Peter: Ocean Shores, Mullumbimby, Ewing style.

We do a lot of rural stuff as well. But, you know, one of the big things that I just found out today, literally in seconds ago with Tom, was that some of the more successful agents, even on the GC, now are using it for property management, which is one of the applications we’re gonna do literally this afternoon. So, yeah, I’m very happy.

Tom: But did the virtual tours help to sell anything?

Peter: Absolutely.

Tom: Before covid?

Peter: Yeah. Look, the virtual tours, one of the reasons that we got it as well, Tom, I, you know, you’re probably just as good a salesman as me and now. One of the reasons that we did go with virtual tours originally was that we wanted something that was cutting edge and it was over and above what our competitors could offer. And so that was a really, really big thing. But when you actually sat somebody down as in a landlord, or sorry, an owner at the time, and showed them that somebody could physically walk through their entire house and look out through the windows onto the balconies and then get a virtual tour 360-degree view from that balcony back into the living rooms out onto where the Vista was, it was literally cutting edge technology and still is. And we still use it every day, which has been absolutely fantastic because we’ve got a lot of what would you call them absentee purchases at the moment. A lot of people are coming outta Sydney and Melbourne that physically can’t get up here at the moment. And the advantage of this is that they can literally click on a room and take their own time to view each one of those rooms, as opposed to when I’m doing a video walkthrough.

Tom: Sorry. Yeah. I just wanted to interrupt cause Peter is doing the videos. Yes. And there’s this conversation. What’s better? We are doing the videos. We are not gonna do the virtual tour, Peter is doing both.

Peter: Yeah. So, absolutely.

Tom: So why are the virtual tools also still helpful when you do the videos?

Peter: Well, the reason that they’re helpful is that everybody that’s done the video walkthrough, they’re only, they’re only seeing from the video what I can see and what I’ve walked through on the day. So when they get on and they’re doing the 360 virtual tour, they can literally stop in that room. It doesn’t matter where in that room, they can stop, they can check out the ceilings, they can look at the floor coverings, they can look at the window fixtures and fittings, they can see where the PowerPoints are, they can see what lighting’s in the room. As opposed to when I’m doing a walkthrough, you can’t keep a walkthrough video any longer than probably a minute, minute, and a half anywhere. Otherwise, people get bored with it. Whereas with the virtual tours, it can be as fast or as slow as the prospective client wants it to be. And it’s up to them as to whether they’re just gonna fan through that property that, that room, or whether alternatively they’re gonna take their time and literally examine the entire room. So it’s been a huge plus for us.

Tom: Wow! Yeah. And for those in LJ Hookah, thank you, guys, for taking us under the wings as one of the absolute franchises in Australia. Peter is now..

Peter: I’m just upgraded.

Tom: Upgrading his old camera to the new spinning device that enters his iPhone into a 360 camera. And he just saw how great the quality of the photos is.

Peter: Sure. How easy it is. And so get ready, guys, this afternoon, 76 Streets is coming out as well. Yes. Thank you very much, Peter. Awesome to see you.
